As a result, this raw material was only in a small quantity purchased and used for a limited production volume. Other products were manufactured with different supplies of raw materials and are therefore not affected.

Why are other Bimbosan products not affected by the recall?

For other Bimbosan products, other raw materials or other suppliers used. It therefore consists no connection with the voluntary recall of certain batches of Bimbosan goat milk 1.

Will the affected raw material supplier continue to be used?

Why is this affecting other brands more in some cases?

Large international manufacturers often produce very large quantities over long periods of time with the same raw material suppliers. In the event of a raw material problem, this can result in more products or countries at the same time are affected.

15.01.2026: Precautionary recall: 10,000 packs of Bimbosan goat milk

The safety and health of babies is Bimbosan's top priority. For this reason, we are recalling certain batches of Bimbosan goat milk products as a precautionary measure in consultation with the relevant Swiss authorities.

The affected batch numbers and best-before dates are listed in the table below.

The recall is a precautionary measure, as quality defects were found in parts of the omega-6 fatty acid arachidonic acid, which came from a previous supplier and was processed in the goat's milk products mentioned above. Some of this was contaminated with cereulide.

Due to the small amount of arachidonic acid used in production, the detected contamination with cereulide does not pose a serious health risk to babies. However, minor adverse effects cannot be completely ruled out.

We ask all purchasers of the affected products to stop feeding them to their children and to return them to the place of purchase. All other Bimbosan products that are not affected by this recall can be consumed without concern. Bimbosan Bio 1 or Bimbosan Classic 1 can be used as alternatives.

We know that this situation may cause concern and uncertainty. Bimbosan customer service is available to answer any questions or concerns you may have about this recall. Hotline: +41 32 639 14 44 or info@bimbosan.ch

We deeply regret that this recall has caused concern and inconvenience and thank you for your trust.
